Fire & Security systems for Leicestershire Pub That’s ‘Risen from the Ashes’

The Tap and Run pub, in Upper Broughton, is a well-known pub and restaurant run by England and Nottinghamshire cricketers, Stuart Broad and Harry Gurney.  It was voted Leicestershire ‘Pub of the Year’ in 2021 but then sadly had a change in fortune and burnt down in a blaze, in June 2022.

However, a year later, after a full rebuild and refurbishment, the pub is back for a second innings!  Many say it’s looking even better than it did before and locals are delighted that the popular drinking and dining destination has reopened.

To make sure it’s extra safe and secure this time around, the owners called on the expertise of CS Security Solutions to install a addressable monitored fire alarm system, intruder alarm system and a IP Video Surveillance System.  Not willing to take any chances with the new-and-improved reincarnation of The Tap and Run, this system has been designed to provide exceptional fire detection coverage of all areas of the building, as well as intruder alarms and high resolution, remote monitored Video Surveillance System.  The owners now have the reassurance of being able to login and check on the security and status of the pub remotely.

The fire and security systems were just part of the huge £1.3 million rebuild and refurbishment project so, as always, we carefully worked around other trades and schedules to fit the systems with minimal disruption.  It was carefully designed to meet all their requirements (which went over and above any legislative requirements) and provide that all-important peace of mind.
