Due to continued expansion, Staffordshire’s leading distribution, warehousing and fulfilment specialist, Browns Distribution, has moved its premises to a much larger distribution hub and headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent. The family business, which began in 1955, has seen huge increases in demand for its services recently, which prompted the development of the new site.
The move is the result of many years of planning, construction and investment totalling over £8 million. The purpose-built site comprises over 75,000 square feet of warehousing as well as the firm’s logistics HQ so, understandably with such a large premises and a huge amount of storage, safeguarding this with cutting-edge security was top of their agenda. That’s why they called on the expert help of CS Security Solutions. CS Security Solutions designed an intruder alarm system, to keep the internal premises safe, along with monitored CCTV both inside and out, and access control with ANPR barrier to protect the wider area and ensure only permitted staff and visitors can enter the extensive grounds. These systems were designed in close consultation with the customer to ensure all their security needs were covered and the systems would protect and enhance their operation without slowing down daily access for their many drivers and staff. As usual, as much development, testing and pre-installation preparation as possible was carried out off-site at our main office, to limit the installation time and ensure a fast, smooth fitting process.
